Oak Haven

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. – Psalm 25:4
About
Oak Haven is a Supervised Independent Living (SIL) home for young women ages 18 to 20 who are transitioning from foster care to adulthood. We provide a healthy balance of support and independence, with a dedicated Life Skills Mentor and Case Manager walking alongside each resident as she builds a plan for her future.
Through Enhanced Case Management (ECM), we help young women access critical resources and develop the tools they need to thrive. Support includes:
- Connecting them to medical, educational, employment, and community services
- Assisting with transportation to important appointments
- Developing and monitoring medication management plans
For many young women aging out of foster care, turning eighteen does not feel like freedom — it feels like losing the only support system they have ever known. With little family support and limited preparation for adulthood, the future can feel overwhelming.
At Oak Haven, we change that story.
Through mentoring, life skills training, and meaningful community support, young women learn practical skills like cooking and budgeting while also pursuing higher education, stable employment, and long-term independence. Most importantly, they gain confidence, stability, and hope for what lies ahead.
