

Family Solutions exists to create a healing-centered system of care where foster children and families—both residential and non-residential—are empowered through compassionate mental health services, behavioral support, and education. We envision a future where every family in the foster care community has access to trauma-informed care that strengthens relationships, fosters emotional wellness, and builds lasting resilience.

Our Team

Erica Guzman, LCSW
Director of Family Solutions
Erica Guzman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her master’s degree in social work from Stephen F. Austin State University. She brings over 15 years of experience working with children and families who are survivors of domestic violence. She led and provided school-based mental health services. In addition, she has worked providing mental health counseling to English and Spanish speaking youth, particularly those navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and suicidal ideation.
Her approach is rooted in empathy, connection, and evidence-based practices that include Client-Centered , Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. She is passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal and grow. She believes in meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to build the tools they need to thrive.

Anna Thomas, MA, M.Ed, LPC-S, LCPAA
GRO Treatment Director, Supervising Therapist
Anna Thomas is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families navigating complex life experiences. Her background includes supporting children from hard places, as well as working closely with foster, adoptive, and biological families through seasons of transition, trauma, and healing.
Anna earned her Master’s in Education from LeTourneau University in 2010. She earned her Master’s of Art in Counseling from LeTourneau University in 2014. She brings a wealth of knowledge in trauma informed care and helping children and families work though that trauma. She is compassionate about the children and families she works with and wants to help them become their best selves.

Rachel (Rae) Bell, MA, CYMHS, LPC
Licensed Therapist
Rachel Bell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families navigating complex life experiences. Her background includes supporting children from hard places, as well as working closely with foster, adoptive, and biological families through seasons of transition, trauma, and healing.
Rachel earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LeTourneau University in 2023. She brings a compassionate and creative approach to therapy, often incorporating art, music, and play to help clients express themselves in meaningful ways. Rachel is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment where clients of all ages can feel seen, heard, and supported.

Rhonda Williams, MA, LPC Associate
Supervised by Anna Thomas, LPC-S
Rhonda Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate with over 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families facing difficult life challenges. She has worked in child welfare, foster care, and adoption, including roles with Texas DFPS, child-placing agencies, and as Adoption Director for a nonprofit. Rhonda is dedicated to helping children and caregivers, especially those in the foster care system, heal and recover.
Rhonda earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas Baptist University in 2024. She is EMDR trained and integrates Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into her practice. Rhonda strives to create a safe, compassionate environment where clients can build resilience and move toward greater hope and connection.

Madison Wilson, MA, LPC Associate
Supervised by Christina Neal, LPC-S
Madison Wilson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in areas such as trauma/PTSD/C-PTSD, emotion dysregulation, attachment/codependency, and anxiety/depression. She enjoys being with people as they work through and heal from difficult life experiences by offering a space of safety, trust, and compassion and ultimately helping them to live more authentically.
Madison earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2023. Her approach to therapy blends techniques from EMDR, attachment and nervous system science, art, and play to help people transform their lives from being stuck to experiencing themselves and the world around them with freedom, connection, and from a place of self-trust.

Karoline Hudson, MSW
Behavioral Support Manager
Karoline Hudson is a Master of Social Work graduate currently preparing for her licensing exam, with a strong commitment to serving at-risk youth. In her current role as Behavior Support Manager at Hope Haven, she provides trauma-informed, holistic support to adolescents, focusing on emotional regulation, crisis intervention, and individualized behavior plans. Her passion lies in creating safe, empowering environments where youth feel seen, supported, and equipped to grow.

Sandi Long, RN, CCM
Nursing Services Manager
Sandi Long is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience in healthcare management, clinical leadership, and performance improvement.
At Hope Haven, Sandi is excited to combine her clinical expertise with her passion for serving families impacted by foster care and adoption. She shares the organization’s commitment to a Christ-centered, trauma-informed approach to care and is eager to support providers in delivering specialized plans of care for medication management. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where healing, growth, and support form the foundation for every family served.
