

Family Solutions exists to create a healing-centered system of care where foster children and families—both residential and non-residential—are empowered through compassionate mental health services, behavioral support, and education. We envision a future where every family in the foster care community has access to trauma-informed care that strengthens relationships, fosters emotional wellness, and builds lasting resilience.

Our Team

Erica Guzman, LCSW
Director of Treatment Services
Erica Guzman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her master’s degree in social work from Stephen F. Austin State University. She brings over 15 years of experience working with children and families who are survivors of domestic violence. She led and provided school-based mental health services. In addition, she has worked providing mental health counseling to English and Spanish speaking youth, particularly those navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and suicidal ideation.
Her approach is rooted in empathy, connection, and evidence-based practices that include Client-Centered , Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. She is passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal and grow. She believes in meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to build the tools they need to thrive.

Anna Thomas, MA, M.Ed, LPC-S, LCPAA
GRO Treatment Director, Supervising Therapist
Anna Thomas is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families navigating complex life experiences. Her background includes supporting children from hard places, as well as working closely with foster, adoptive, and biological families through seasons of transition, trauma, and healing.
Anna earned her Master’s in Education from LeTourneau University in 2010. She earned her Master’s of Art in Counseling from LeTourneau University in 2014. She brings a wealth of knowledge in trauma informed care and helping children and families work though that trauma. She is compassionate about the children and families she works with and wants to help them become their best selves.

Rachel (Rae) Bell, MA, CYMHS, LPC Associate
Supervised by Anna Thomas, LPC-S
Rachel Bell is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families navigating complex life experiences. Her background includes supporting children from hard places, as well as working closely with foster, adoptive, and biological families through seasons of transition, trauma, and healing.
Rachel earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LeTourneau University in 2023. She brings a compassionate and creative approach to therapy, often incorporating art, music, and play to help clients express themselves in meaningful ways. Rachel is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment where clients of all ages can feel seen, heard, and supported.

Rhonda Williams, MA, LPC Associate
Supervised by Anna Thomas, LPC-S
Rhonda Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with over 20 years of experience in child welfare, she has served in various capacities including caseworker, supervisor for Texas DFPS, staff at private child placing agencies, and most recently as an Adoption Director for a nonprofit. Her passion for supporting youth in foster care and treatment settings has shaped her career. Rhonda earned her Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science from East Texas Baptist University in 2004 and returned two decades later to complete her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024—a milestone she views as both meaningful and spiritually led. During her graduate training, Rhonda completed her internship and practicum at the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center, where she found her calling as a therapist for abused and neglected children.

Karoline Hudson, MSW
Behavior Support Manager
Karoline Hudson is a Master of Social Work graduate currently preparing for her licensing exam, with a strong commitment to serving at-risk youth. In her current role as Behavior Support Manager at Hope Haven, she provides trauma-informed, holistic support to adolescents, focusing on emotional regulation, crisis intervention, and individualized behavior plans. Her passion lies in creating safe, empowering environments where youth feel seen, supported, and equipped to grow.

Sandi Long, RN, CCM, BC-FMP
Nursing Services Manager
Sandi Long is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience in healthcare management, clinical leadership, and performance improvement. As a Board-Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (BC-FMP) and Certified Case Manager (CCM), she brings a holistic approach to care, focusing on addressing root causes and promoting lasting wellness.
At Hope Haven, Sandi is excited to combine her clinical expertise with her passion for serving families impacted by foster care and adoption. She shares the organization’s commitment to a Christ-centered, trauma-informed approach to care and is eager to support providers in delivering specialized therapies such as TBRI, TF-CBT, DBT, EMDR, and more. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where healing, growth, and support form the foundation for every family served.
